This piece is about migration, and in it, I am a Venezuelan trying to forget everything I lived through there (both the bad and the good). I am in a new country (it could be anywhere, not a specific location). I decide to turn on the radio, and the first thing I hear is the news about Venezuela.

I start to remember every single thing about my country, but mostly the love I had there. Rory, the guy dancing with me, represents the love I had to leave behind. Since I never had a relationship, it could also represent friendship, family, or even Venezuela itself—the love I had for my country.

Together, we are a representation of those who were forced to separate. Throughout the piece, I push him away several times because I don’t want to go back to that place, but then I decide to let go of the moment because I was happy when I was with him.
In the end, when he tries to kiss me but can’t, it’s because he’s not real—he’s just in my imagination.
